The artist is not afraid of plunging the knife’s blade into the evils that his world, which is partially ours too by now, is suffering. From the scenes of war to the artificial legs of veterans, from the urban guerillas of rival gangs to the scenes of metropolitan desolation; the climate of a society torn by everyday life, sometimes even dismayed. All elements live together and spread on the big canvas. In his latest works, mainly diptychs and triptychs, there are groups of people who, even if in motion, dominate the scenes as static and monumental figures, waiting for a possible solution of the psychological-existential status. Colors are bright when the scenes full of pathos require it, or they are watercolors when the artist prefers to give prominence to the figurative aspect; his strokes are darker when expressionist memories come back or slightly marked out when the landscape is more lyric.”
